Why a co-working space in Lilydale?
Thousands of professionals leave the municipality daily to get to jobs. The personal, community and environmental benefits of working closer to home, even if for a few days a week, are substantial. But a home-office is not always the answer. With NBN being rolled out in central Lilydale in late 2013, the Lilydale Connector – which will offer its users a state-of-the-art technology hub – will be that perfect “third space” (which in not the office or home) for local professionals and small businesses to get work stuff done!

A coworking space is more than shared office facilities. Becoming part of one will give you access to a community of collaboration that will assist your business to grow. Other benefits of coworking for your business are: Access to highly-affordable premises for events, meetings, impressing clients, and for making connections!
The Lilydale Connector will offer privacy without isolation; boundaries between home and work for self-employed professionals (but without the dreaded commute); and access to local knowledge networks. Having that community of support and ‘place to go’ when you need a little human/social boost, can be very powerful work productivity tool.
While a site is still being finalised, the LC will be a centrally located premises with best-available broadband/collaborative technologies and will be a place designed as a space to make you more productive. The LC will be a place you will look forward to going to work to!
Free access for members to ongoing learning, development, business growth and training services as well as just fun networking initiatives will be a core feature of the LC.
Who is behind the Lilydale Connector coworking initiative and what will it cost?
A group of local Yarra Ranges businesses and community minded professionals are behind the Lilydale Connector.
Costs for the Lilydale Connector will be highly affordable for membership and to access the work spaces. As interest for the Lilydale Connector grows and more and more businesses and professionals want to get involved formal price structures will be developed.
